What we calibrate

Temperature equipment from −200 °C to 1000 °C using NIST-traceable PRT, dry-block, and circulating-bath reference methods.

  • Thermometers — digital, liquid-in-glass (mercury and alcohol), stick, lollipop, IR (non-contact)
  • Thermocouples — Type K, J, T, E, N · industrial, laboratory, and reactor
  • PRTs and RTDs — precision electronic temperature measurement
  • Temperature dataloggers — pharmaceutical, cold-chain, process monitoring
  • Cold storage — laboratory and ultra-low (−80 °C) freezers, walk-in chambers, blood-bank refrigerators, vaccine storage units, BOD and CO₂ incubators, stability and environmental chambers
  • Process and bench equipment — ovens, furnaces, autoclaves, sterilizers, water baths, hot plates, dry blocks, metrology wells, temperature controllers, transmitters, sensors

Brands we routinely calibrate: Fluke, Hart Scientific, Vaisala, Kaye, MadgeTech, Thermo Fisher Scientific, PHC (Panasonic Healthcare), Helmer, Eppendorf, Cole-Parmer — and we calibrate all brands of thermometers, probes, dataloggers, freezers, incubators, and chambers.

Multi-parameter instruments — yes. Temperature combined with pH, vacuum, CO₂, RH, RPM, or process control — calibrated as one instrument under one accreditation chain.

Why Choose Allometrics

Independent A2LA-accredited lab. 50 years of continuous A2LA accreditation under Cert 2039.01. PRT-traceable to NIST through ITS-90 (International Temperature Scale of 1990). We're not an OEM — every "as-found" reading is reported on the merits, not against a sales quota.

Onsite at production volume. 24-48-hour onsite scheduling. 48-hour emergency response when a freezer, chamber, or autoclave fails calibration mid-shift. Field metrologists arrive with NIST-traceable reference standards, dry-blocks, and dataloggers — your equipment doesn't ship anywhere.

Audit-time guarantee. If an Allometrics certificate is challenged in an FDA, USP, Joint Commission, CAP/CLIA, or customer audit, we will address it. Our calibration data management runs on IndySoft — 21 CFR Part 11–compliant electronic records and signatures, validated audit trails, controlled access.

The full lab equipment program. Temperature, mass, pressure, flow, electrical, and 100+ other instruments — all under one A2LA accreditation chain. Plus cleanroom certification, biosafety cabinet certification, viables testing, and terminal cleaning that pure-play cal labs don't deliver. The same field crew that calibrates your freezers can recertify your cleanrooms.

Three service modes

Onsite field servicefor active facilities, freezers, chambers, autoclaves, and large temperature inventories. 24-48-hour onsite scheduling. We come to you with NIST-traceable PRTs, dry-blocks, dataloggers, and the bench setup to calibrate in place. Most temperature work is delivered onsite — equipment doesn't move.

Webster, TX cal labfor ultra-precision PRT work, micro-bath low-temperature probe work, and shipped equipment. Climate-controlled lab with reference baths down to −45 °C and dry-block sources to 660 °C. Standard turnaround 5–10 business days; expedite available for audit deadlines.

Multi-probe heat distribution mappingfor autoclaves, sterilizers, ovens, walk-in freezers, and stability chambers. Up to 18 RTD probes via dual-channel dataloggers. Cycle-reproducibility verification. Full validation report formatted for FDA / USP / Joint Commission review. See the full T&H mapping page →

Three certification tiers — match the calibration to the audit

Traceable. NIST-traceable verification against OEM or customer tolerance. Certificate with traceability statement, equipment adjustment if out of tolerance, preventive maintenance check. For general lab inventory outside the regulated audit path.

Traceable with Data. Adds full as-found / as-left data, measurement uncertainty, environmental conditions recorded, and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 compliance. For ISO 9001 quality programs and customer-QMS work.

Accredited (ISO/IEC 17025 / A2LA Cert 2039.01). Full accredited calibration under our published temperature scope, with measurement uncertainty per ILAC P14 / GUM. Multi-point coverage across the range, A2LA accreditation symbol on the certificate. The default for compounding pharmacy, cGMP manufacturing, vaccine storage, hospital pharmacy, and any temperature instrument in a regulated workflow.

IQ/OQ/PQ documentation available for new cold-storage installs, stability chambers, autoclaves, and process equipment — aligned to USP <1058> equipment qualification levels and your QMS template.

Industries we calibrate temperature equipment for

Common questions

How often does temperature equipment need calibration?

Pharmaceutical and food-safety operations typically calibrate every 6–12 months. Joint Commission hospital pharmacy is annual. Higher-risk applications (vaccine storage, blood-bank refrigerators, ultra-low freezers) may go quarterly. Industrial process thermocouples on critical control loops follow risk-based schedules. We help establish the right cadence as part of program enrollment.

What's your turnaround?

Standard cal-lab turnaround is 5–10 business days. Onsite scheduling typically lands within 24-48 hours of quote acceptance. 48-hour emergency service is available when equipment fails calibration mid-shift. Quotes turn around in 24 hours.

Do you do heat distribution mapping for autoclaves and stability chambers?

Yes. Multi-probe distributed mapping with up to 18 RTD probes via dual-channel dataloggers. Cycle-reproducibility verification, hot-spot/cold-spot identification, full validation report aligned to USP <1079>, ISPE good distribution practice, and customer QMS templates. See the full T&H mapping discipline page →

Can you provide IQ/OQ/PQ documentation?

Yes. For new cold-storage installs, stability chambers, autoclaves, and process equipment we deliver IQ / OQ / PQ aligned to USP <1058> equipment qualification levels (EQL-1 through EQL-3) and your QMS template.

What if a calibration fails an audit?

We address it. Allometrics' audit-time guarantee applies to every certificate we issue, across every service. Our calibration data management runs on IndySoft (21 CFR Part 11–compliant), so the underlying records are inspector-ready.

What standards do you calibrate to?

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (the framework our A2LA accreditation operates under), ITS-90 (International Temperature Scale of 1990), ASTM E1, E2592, E2623, E77, E644, with optional ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 compliance at the Traceable with Data and Accredited tiers. Per Allometrics QWI 19-46.
