ISO/IEC 17025:2017 calibration
Valid through April 30, 2027

Why accurate weighing matters
If your balances drift out of tolerance, your batch, dose, or test result is at risk. Failed inspections, rejected product, and compliance failure often trace back to a single uncalibrated piece of equipment in your weighing chain.
The cost of a calibration program isn't measured against itself — it's measured against the cost of a recall, a hold, or a deficiency notice.
Allometrics has been performing ISO/IEC 17025 mass calibration since the standard existed. Our certificates will pass your audits and FDA, USP, and Joint Commission review.

Why Allometrics for mass calibration
A2LA-accredited under ISO/IEC 17025. Cert 2039.01. Continuous accreditation through every revision of the standard.
Onsite, in your facility. The vast majority of our mass calibration work happens at the customer's site. Our metrologists arrive with NIST-traceable reference weights from 1 mg to 5,000 kg, environmental monitors, and the lift gear to handle floor scales and rail-car platforms. You don't ship equipment.
Replace 3–5 vendors with one accredited partner. Calibration, cleanroom certification, biosafety, and viables — all delivered by the same team under one accreditation chain. Allometrics' integrated compliance service team ensures compliance and helps you pass your audits.
50 years of regulated-environment experience. Founded 1976. The team has lived every USP revision, every FDA cGMP guidance update, every Joint Commission standards change.

Audit-ready certificates that pass FDA, USP, and Joint Commission review
Designed to pass FDA, USP, and Joint Commission audits on first review. Every Allometrics mass calibration produces a signed, A2LA-traceable certificate built to survive inspection. Each certificate includes:
- Equipment ID, serial number, manufacturer, model, customer asset tag
- Date of calibration, technician, next-due date
- Reference standards used, with NIST traceability chain
- Environmental conditions at the time of calibration (temperature, humidity, barometric pressure)
- As-found readings and as-left readings at every test point
- Measurement uncertainty per ILAC P14 / GUM
- Pass/fail determination against your specified tolerance
- A2LA accreditation symbol and Cert 2039.01 reference
If your Quality team needs IQ/OQ/PQ documentation for equipment qualification, we deliver it. If you have custom needs for your equipment contact us today.

Equipment we calibrate
- Analytical balances — sub-milligram readability, cleanroom and pharmacy compounding work
- Precision and top-loading balances — laboratory and quality-control benches
- Micro and semi-micro balances — top quality and testing labs, pharmaceutical R&D, ultra-low mass measurement
- Moisture balances and moisture analyzers — loss-on-drying, content verification
- Bench, lab, and floor scales — warehouse, packaging, fulfillment, manufacturing
- High-capacity industrial and platform scales — refinery, explosion proof, food and grain, and heavy industrial
- Hanging scales and crane scales — industrial lifting and inventory
- Reference weight sets — ASTM Class 0 through Class 7, OIML E1 through M3, individual weights from 1 mg to 50 kg
- Dead weight testers and force-comparator weights — high-accuracy reference work
- Mud balances and weight-per-gallon cups — oil & gas drilling fluids
Servicing all major manufacturers — Mettler Toledo, Sartorius, Ohaus, A&D, Troemner — and 300+ others.

Service modes
Onsite field service — best for active facilities. Our field metrologists come to your facility with NIST-traceable weight sets, environmental monitors, and lift gear to calibrate and certify your weighing equipment — be that explosion-proof floor scales or high-end analytical balances, micro-balances or mass comparators.
Cal lab shipping, dropoff, and pickup — best for ultra-precision work. Weight sets come to our controlled-environment, high-accuracy lab in Webster, TX.
Reference weight set programs — best for multi-site weight programs. Most accredited weight sets need re-verification annually. Allometrics maintains pickup/return logistics for weight-set programs across multi-site customers, with a single managed program calendar.

Calibration framing for specific environments
If you need mass calibration for industrial QC labs, refinery catalyst weighing, or NIST Handbook 44 trade-certified scales — where Weights and Measures inspectors visit annually — see our industrial calibration page for trade-cert considerations, on-demand fail-and-respond service, and refinery hot-work permit logistics.
If you need mass calibration specifically inside a cGMP-regulated environment — compounding pharmacy, pharmaceutical manufacturing, 503B outsourcing facility, ATMP / cell & gene therapy site — see our cGMP / pharma calibration page for the documentation, USP <1058> equipment qualification level (EQL-1 through EQL-3), IQ/OQ/PQ workflow, and audit-survivable certificate format that pharmaceutical work requires.
