Why CACI certification matters
USP <800> requires hazardous-drug compounding in a Containment Primary Engineering Control (C-PEC) — a CACI is the most common implementation. CACIs operate at negative pressure relative to surroundings to contain HD aerosols. Annual CAG-002 certification is mandatory; failure to demonstrate containment exposes pharmacy staff to chemotherapy-drug aerosols and creates a regulatory finding. A failed CACI certification stops HD compounding until corrected.
The cost of a certification program isn't measured against itself — it's measured against the cost of a failed inspection, a hold on a batch, or a deficiency notice from a state pharmacy board or FDA inspector.

Designed to pass FDA, USP, and Joint Commission audits on first review. Every Allometrics CACI certification produces a signed certificate built to survive inspection. Each certificate includes:
- Equipment / room ID, serial number, manufacturer, model, customer asset tag
- Date of certification, technician (with credential), next-due date
- Standard the work was performed to (CAG-002 + USP <800>, ISO 14644-3, USP <797>)
- Test results at every measured location — face velocity, pressure differential, particle counts, smoke pattern, integrity, etc.
- Pass/fail determination against the standard
- CETA / NSF certifier credential reference

What we test and certify
- CAG-002 certification with USP <800> containment criteria — annual recertification of sealed CACIs
- Negative-pressure verification — pressure differential between CACI work zone and surroundings
- Supply and exhaust HEPA integrity — DOP/PAO challenge of both filter banks
- Containment leak testing — pressure-decay and tracer-gas testing where required
- Glove integrity — pinhole and tear inspection
- Particle count classification — ISO 5 verification
- Airflow pattern (smoke study) — verification of negative-pressure flow direction
- Exhaust verification — direct-to-outside or HEPA-filtered exhaust per USP <800>
All certifications result in a signed report formatted to satisfy USP <800> hazardous-drug containment review by state pharmacy boards and FDA inspectors.
Service modes
Onsite field service — best for active facilities. Our CETA-credentialed technicians arrive with negative-pressure verification equipment, HEPA challenge gear, pressure-decay rigs, and tracer-gas testing capability where required. CACI certifications are performed onsite during a coordinated outage; HD compounding cannot resume until certification is signed.
Recurring certification programs — best for multi-site customers. Most CACI certifications are required at intervals defined by the standard (annually for most BSC / LAFW / CAI / CACI; semi-annually for some). Allometrics manages multi-site recurring program calendars with one consolidated report deliverable.
Combined certification + viables — best for USP <797> and USP <800> programs.
